Inspiration in the Bieszczady Mountains
We build rather on what modern Bieszczady mean to us and like-minded people: a source of inspiration, a metaphorical way of charging our batteries, wildlife, an opportunity to learn how to deal with adversities and… freedom – the freedom we experience and share with you. It’s a new land, a new world, constantly changing and taking previously unknown shapes. It’s like nature. It’s like an adventure!
Causes we support
For every PLN 30 of the proceeds from the ticket sale, PLN 12 will support nature protection initiatives in the Bieszczady Mountains. The remaining amount will cover the film production costs.
Until now, thanks to the Ursa Maior Biodiversity Fund operating at the brewery, we have supported the establishment of micro-nature reserves together with Fundacja Dziedzictwo Przyrodnicze (the Natural Heritage Foundation) and the restoration of old forests in the Bieszczady Mountains and the planned Turnicki National Park.
We provided a subsidy for the restoration of old varieties orchards and their production of apple juice. We supported the construction of the Bear Ambulance Service in Bieszczady and the operation of the Rehabilitation Centre of Protected Animals in Przemyśl.
URSA MAIOR
Ursa Maior – an independent brewery in Bieszczady (microbrewery), a regional centre of art, creativity and design. Ursa Maior Brewery (Bieszczadzka Wytwórnia Piwa) is a real, non-virtual enterprise, located in Uherce Mineralne, between Lesko and Ustrzyki Dolne (Poland).
It is an honest-to-goodness brewery, built from scratch and run by committed owners. You can come to Ursa and see yourself. The entire facility uses renewable energy and other innovative solutions. The brewery invests a portion of its profit in local initiatives. Protection and promotion of the environmental and cultural treasures of the Bieszczady Mountains is their prime focus.

The legendary head of production and machinery maintenance at Ursa Maior. As a back of his hand, he knows every pump, screw, valve, fuse, microphone and other elements of the sound system and film projection. He can tell a malfunctioning device by its sound or even the smallest hints, long before it would want to break down. He likes shiny motorcycles, muddy cars, blues, problems to solve, the wind in his hair and good beer (provided that it comes from Ursa Maior Craft Brewery).
Asia Dobrowolska
Multi-instrumentalist. Extremely competent and quick to act. She serves beer with a smile, makes sandwiches in a flash, and cleans in no time. In the brewery store, she gets to know your wishes with one quick x-ray look. She’s never bored, even for a moment. In her free time, she likes cruising the Bieszczady Mountains on her bike.
Bronisław Miśko
Minding every detail in the tasks he performs, also a great esthete. He knows a lot about people and life. Maker of Ursa beer boards, the tables out of wooden shipping pallets and many other decorative elements. A bottling engineer, an expert in lifting malt bags and other heavy objects. He knows every corner of the brewery plus he’s an extremely fast packer. On a side note, lady tourists charmer. At times, he shows a striking resemblance to Robert De Niro.
